In interviews with Mr. Paul Rahe and Ms. Dana Wahl, former teachers, I found out that Bell Avenue School was created around 1947 as a Kindergarten through 8th grade school with about 500 - 600 students. It was located on the corner of Bell and Pinell Avenues, and the main entrance was originally on Pinell Avenue.
A new design was created in the 1950’s that added a cafeteria / auditorium and eventually changed the main entrance to Bell Avenue. Bell Avenue School was built for families who moved here after World War II and is located in northern Sacramento near McClellan Air Force Base. Before 1957, it changed to a Kindergarten through 6th grade school, but the exact year for this change is not available.
