Dear Robla Community,
In the blink of an eye, we've entered October, and it's been a month filled with many remarkable events. During recent visits to our schools, I've been thrilled to witness students fully engaged in their classrooms and enjoying their time on the playground. Students have not only mastered new skills but have also explored new interests and forged new friendships.
We successfully completed our 10-day attendance challenge, and I must say, it was a closely contested competition! The winning school will be announced soon. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your partnership in ensuring that our students come to school each and every day. Your commitment is truly appreciated.
As we move into October, we are continuing to celebrate Latin Heritage Month. This is a time to acknowledge and celebrate the diverse cultures, rich histories, and countless contributions of the American Latino community. We are excited to invite you to our Latin Heritage Parent Empowerment Dinner on Thursday, October 19th from 5:30-7 p.m. at Main Avenue Elementary School’s Multipurpose Room. Dr. Lisa Cardoza, the President of American River College, will be our esteemed guest speaker, and each attending family will also enjoy a free dinner, free childcare and receive four Sacramento Zoo tickets. If you have any questions, please contact the District Office at (916) 649-5248.
By now, you should have received a COVID-19 kit for your child. Please make use of it as needed to ensure the well-being of your family.
Lastly, I want to let you know that we still have available slots in our After School Care and Enrichment Program. Whether you require care for just 30 minutes or longer, we have options available until 6:00 PM at all school sites. For more information, please visit our website, get in touch with your school, or click on the provided link. https://www.robla.k12.ca.us/afterschool/
I hope you all have a fantastic Fall Break! School will resume on Monday, October 16.
Warm regards,
Eileen Aguba Chen
