Welcome to Art!

I’m Ms. Johnson, the Art teacher at Bell Avenue Elementary School. Our Arts Enrichment program provides Arts instruction to Kindergarten through sixth grade students. Arts Enrichment lessons will cover the Elements and Principles of Art and Design, explore famous Artists, Art History and multi-cultural Arts while integrating grade level curriculum and Common Core standards. Student creativity and problem solving are highly encouraged in Art.

Students discover the implement the Elements and Principles of Art and Design into artwork, learning both vocabulary and skills for each element and principle. Students practice speaking and listening as we make and evaluate art, providing evidence and examples to support our thoughts when looking at and interpreting art.

Bell Avenue Artists- Fall 2019

Students are learning and reviewing the Elements and Principles of Art and Design and Multi-Cultural Arts. Students have been learning about Art and Artists of Mexico; contemporary and traditional art. Student Artwork will be displayed at the upcoming Parent Empowerment Dinner on October 15th and around Bell Avenue School. Please stayed tuned for completed artwork to be posted!
